A human rights activist and Executive Chairman, Centre for Human Rights and social Justice (CHRSJ), Comrade Adeniyi, Alimi Sulaiman has
declared that President Muhammadu Buhari lacked educational requirement of Senior school Certificate(SSCE) to become the President of this country, saying that this error has shown clearly in his style of governance of this nation in the last one year, for not being able to proffer a single solution to the problems facing the country but aggravate it,
Dailypost reports. The rights activist has also disclosed that the government of President Buhari has become a disaster to the masses of the Country as all the Buhari’s government policies have brought pains and pangs to the lives of the Nigeria people as Nigerians experienced in 1985 when Buhari was Head of Military junta .
Reacting through a signed statement which was made available to newsmen on Sunday on the one year in office of the President Muhamamdu Buhari and last Thursday dismissal of the Preliminary Objections filed by the President Buhari in the case instituted against him, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Suit No:FHC/ABJ/CS/110/2015, by an Abuja based Legal Practitioner, Barr. Nnamdi Nwokocha-Ahaaiwe challenging the competence of Buhari to stand election into the office of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria when he lacks the basic educational qualifications set out in the Constitution.
Comrade Sulaiman who commended the ruling of the Federal High Court, Abuja on the subject matter, saluting the courage of Justice Adeniyi Ademola for throwing away the Buhari/APC’s preliminary objection which lacked merit in the eyes of the law, calling on the security agents in the Country to beef up security around the litigant, Barrister Nnamdi Nwokocha-Ahaaiwe.
He added that Buhari had failed to meet up with the basic requirement criteria in filling CF001 form submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) which requested a candidate to attach his or her credential to the form, urging Buhari not to waste the precious time of Nigerians by voluntarily and honourably tender his resignation from the office of the President, noting that non-resignation of Buhari would be the beginning of corruption of his administration.
CHRSJ boss who advised the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership to tell the President Buhari to bring out his controversial certificate being alleged to be sized by the then Nigeria Army, as current President and Chief of Armed of Forces to bring out his Certificate, insisting that Buhari was not qualified to contest the Presidential election but due to the bad systemic nature of the country and lack of integrity on the part of President gave him audacity to contest election, stressing that Buhari had violated section 131 of the Constitution, which prescribes a minimum qualification for nomination to participate in presidential election and section 31 of the Electoral Act that stipulates all presidential candidates to depose an affidavit in proof of compliance with constitutional requirement to be President of Nigeria.
According to him,
"Nobody is crucifying President Muhammadu Buhari unjustly but President Buhari claimed to acquire the Secondary School certificate in 1961 in the Form CF001 submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before the conduct of March 28th, 2015 Presidential election and there is a caveat in the form that a candidate must accompany the form with the attached photocopies of acclaimed certificates and if Buhari truly ready to effect any change in the governance of this country ,he(Buhari) should be ready to abide by the rules and regulations guiding the conduct of the last Presidential election even as sitting President by bringing the controversial certificate out and he should not see himself to be above the law of the land. It will be a shame on the part of All Progressives Congress (APC), if President Buhari could not produce the controversial certificate in question”.
