Panic in Edo as Guber Aspirant Narrowly Escapes Assassination

An Edo guber aspirant has narrowly escaped assassination attempt as daredevil armed men stormed his house to kill him. 

 
One of the governorship aspirants in the just-concluded All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship primary election in Edo State,  Mr. Casely Omon-Irabor narrowly escaped death on Tuesday.
 
According to reports, gunmen armed to the teeth broke into his home in Enerhen, Uvwie Local Government Area of the state at the fee hours of the day and destroyed many valuables looking for him.
 
Even the modern iron protector and walls mounted around his house were destroyed by the suspected assassins to enable them gain access to his living room.
 
Explaining how the incident happened, the Warri-based lawyer, said he narrowly escaped death by the whiskers.
 
His words, “I was dragged to a point where the gunmen shot at me. They thought that the bullet hit me but fortunately it did not but I pretended that I was dead. Before they left, they molested my family members.”
 
The politician was, however, grateful to God that he survived the ordeal and no life was lost in the incident.
