This is the heartbreaking photo of a malnourished child suffering in an IDP camp that has left many people in tears.

The heartbreaking photo of a 6-year-old Ajija has shown the rate of suffering being experienced by the Internally Displaced Persons in Maiduguri, Borno State.
The photo shows a child being screened for severe acute malnutrition at a United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund UNICEF health centre in Maiduguri, the capital city of Borno state.
 
In recent times, the IDP camps have become a death camp as children deprived of food starve to death. Many suffer from acute malnutrition, according to United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund. 
 
The Geneva-based Medicins Sans Frontieres recently reported that six malnourished children die daily in the IDP camp in Bama, Borno State. The authorities have been lambasted after report emerged that food items meant for the Internally displaced persons are being stolen by officials.
