Award-winning Nigerian music craftsman and hitmaker, Davido is Africa's new king on Instagram as he dethrones Tanzanian superstar, Diamond Platnumz.

 
Two-time MTV Best African Male artiste of the year and HKN Gang superstar, David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has been crowned Africa’s new king on instagram with a whooping 2.9million followers.
 
The feat unseated Tanzanian hitmaker, Naseeb Abdul Juma, popularly known as Diamond Platnumz, who has been on the top. He commands 2.7 million followers on the social media app.
 
 
Baba Nla crooner, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, comes third in the top followers Africa list with a 2.5 Million followers to boot. 
 
Another Nigerian vocalist, entertainer and performer Tiwatope Savage-Balogun, popularly known as Tiwa Savage, swoops into the list with a clean 2.3 million Instagram devotees. 
 
 
Closing the top 5 list, Nigerian multi-award winning producer, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has a cool 2.2 million adherents monitoring him on Instagram.
