The
suspect who beheaded DSP Alkali, has led police operatives to where
police driver, Sgt. Peter Uchi was buried in a shallow grave, as the
patrol vehicle was recovered.

A member of the gang that killed Deputy Superintendent of Police,
Mohammed Alkali, and his driver in Uju Forest in the Omoku area of
Rivers State, has been arrested by the gallant officers of the Nigerian
Police with the late officer's LG phone.
Speaking exclusively to SaharaReporters, a top police sources
disclosed that 22-year-old Christian Chukwuemela Ekikeme, was nabbed at
about 6:00pm on Saturday, following six days of tracking the cult gang
that ambushed and killed Alkali and his driver, Sergeant Peter Uchi,
during the December 10 federal legislative re-run polls in the state.
The arrest was assisted by the support of the Police Technical
Intelligence Unit (TIU) and the 48 Division of Police Mobile. Police
sources disclosed that Ekiekeme, also known as Prince Okoroma, an
indigene of Okposi village, near Omoku, was arrested by the operatives
of the Inspector-General of Police Response Team (IRT) in Omoku, when he
came out from the creek to visit his girlfriend.
Sources revealed that he confessed to the beheading of the DSP,
adding that his head and driver's body were thrown into a river while
the white Mitsubishi pick-up van belonging to the police was parked deep
in Uju Forest with the key stuck in the ignition.

"He also confessed that he and nine members of his gang members
have seven AK-47 rifles, two pump action guns and that they ambushed
the police team because they felt they were against their party.
"He listed other gang members as Kelvin, John Ahiaikwo,
Chukwuemela AKA Jungle Justice, Izu, Bright (Gang leader), Okechukwu,
Ngozi, Christian, himself, and Kachi Nwokocha, who is their sponsor," said a top source, who added that serious efforts are being made to arrest remaining gang members.
Earlier on Monday, police detectives were led to Uju Forest where
the white police pick-up vehicle was parked beside a shallow grave where
Sgt. Uchi was buried.
