The west afAfri bloggers award also known as WABA Has officially released a new date for the 2018 WABA AWARDS.
Despite the flaws WABA had in 2017 WABA is still persistent in their dreams.
On their Instagram page Inwhich a press release was passed reads
" With great pleasure the Wana team announce dates for the second edition of it's annual event to celebrate hard work, creativity, credibility of bloggers.
The maiden edition didn't go as planned reasons which been some forces which directly or indirectly frustrate the effort of the organizers . Some of which are illegal sales of tickets in which Diamond Bank of Nigeria happens to be the biggest same of illegal vendor ( Legal actions to the taken). Bloggers not nominated who go around to give fake information to sponsors therefore frustrate all efforts of the organizers to get sponsorship for the event, nominated bloggers some which got over a thousand votes and couldn't sell a single ticket (if 50% of the tickets were sold, event would have held). This is a noble idea and our inability to hold the glamorous event which happens to be our trademark does not affect the credibility of the award process as every stages were done credibly and winners was picked on merit. We are still dedicated to celebrating bloggers who gavr it their all and are deserving."
