The 48th founder's day / 44th Convocation ceremony 2018 is going to take place on the 19th through the 24th of November 2018 at the University of Benin Main Auditorium
The Vice chancellor of the university of Benin ( Professor OSASERE ORUMWENSE) started the event wih an opening prayer, and he welcomed everybody to the press metiwin regards to the 48th founder's day / 44th Convocation of the University of Benin.

'I welcome gentlemen of the press, media, invited guest to this great press briefing. This year Convocation ceremony will be a special convocation ceremony as the Obakolopor of benin will be present to grace the occasion. The founder's day peech will ve delivered by the former managing director of Access Bank (Mr Wigwe ).
The vice chancellor also listed some achievement in his administration which are:
• Newly completed building of the post graduate hostel
• Newly 500 seating capacity lecture theater in the faculty of life science
• Newly completed building of the Main library extension two
• Newly completed building of the female hostel
• Newly completed building of the environmental science
• Newly completed building of the lecture room at pharmacy
• Newly completed lecture building of the physical science
• Newly completed building of the main bowl sport complex.
In this year 48th founder's day / 44th Convocation ceremony we have Eleven thousand, two hundred and twenty two (11,222) Uniben Graduate which are highlighted below:
• Doctorate and PHD Degree: Four Hundred and forty (440) graduates
• Masters Degree: Two thousand, two hundred and seven (2,207) graduates
• Post Graduate: Two hundred and fifty nine ( 259) graduates
• First class: One Hundred and Thirty Four (134) graduates
• Second class upper: Two thousand, one hundred and twenty two (2,122) graduates
• Second class lower: Four thousand, eight hundred and sixty four ( 4,864) graduates
• Third Class: One thousand, one hundred and fifty six (1,156) graduates
• Pass: One (1) graduate
• Diploma: Eighty three (83) graduates
• Uncertified: Four hundred and forty six ( 446) graduates
