Few hours to the 2019 general election, Okoye Maryjane, who was called up for NYSC service in Lagos State, which led to her selection to participate as an INEC official in the forthcoming election, has revealed a disturbing report.
According to Maryjane, INEC said they would give bullet proof vest to its officials as they will be stationed in various polling units on the election day, (Saturday, 16th February 2019).
Maryjane wondered if it’s an “election or war”, following the facts that INEC will provide them with bullet proof vest.
She wrote;
“I only came to Lagos to obey d clarion call not for war..They said its INEC officials they will use us for , we agreed ! Now they are talking of providing bullet proof for us via d election day.. Does dis ave any other meaning abi its actually wot am thinking ?
