Breaking!!! Uniben June 12 Market Demolished, See What SUG Have To say.

The University of Benin ( UNIBEN) June 12 market popularly known as SUG Market Building / Shops have been demolished by some people.

While speaking with some of the SUG Comrades, The Chief Security Officer ( CSO ) made it clear to them that the reason of the demolition of the SUG Market Building / Shops was due to some criminal acts

carried out at night around the environs, and also dirts which was an habitation, the president of the Students Union Government ( Comrade Charles Idehen) pleaded with the Chief Security Officer on behalf of the Students of the University of Benin that this place is going to be well organized and no such act will be condoled any longer.

Some students speaks with TonyGists on how this is going to affect them

TonyyGists: Hi, I'm one of TonyGists Correspondent, what can you say concerning the demolition of SUG shops / market?

Anonymous: Well I'm not pleased with this act because this SUG Market has really helped us ( students ) in a very long way.

TonyGists: You said helped in a very long way, can you please list out the ways it has helped them ( students)

Anonymous: As we ( students) all know June 12 has really saved us the stress of going to ring road and New Benin Market to get some stuffs, as in i normally have Saturdays class and closing by 5pm from my class i feel tired and don't have foodstuffs, i easily stop at June 12 market to get what to eat but now it will be more stressful for we (students).

TonyGists: As the Chief Security Officer ( CSO ) mentioned earlier that this habitation has become a place of an evil act, what can you say concerning this?

Anonymous: Well this is not the first time this evil act is happening in June 12, there are some cases where girls are being raped, students this ( eg phones, laptops while coming from night class) are being stolen, may be this is one of the major reasons of this demolition.

The Students Union Government director of finance urged the Deputy vice chancellor and the Chief Security Officer that a building will be erected so as to make the environs presentable, but the Chief Security Officer asked, does the SUG have money? The Students Union Government director of finance said we are sourcing for funds currently.

Some persons around the environs were also affected.
