62-Year-Old Nigerian Woman Found Dead Inside Her Room In Ondo

A 62-year-old woman, Mrs. Iyanuoluwa Adamolekun, has been allegedly murdered in her room.

The Ondo State Police Command on Friday said it has now commenced an investigation into the death of the woman.

The incident was said to have happened in the Agbaluku area of Arigidi Akoko in Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State on Thursday.

According to a source, the lifeless body of the woman was found in her residence in a pool of blood by her granddaughter, who later raised the alarm, drawing the attention of the neighbours to the scene.

The cause of the death was still uncertain at the time of filing this report,

Suspicions of murder were raised because the deceased was discovered in a pool of her own blood.

It was gathered that the corpse of the deceased had been deposited at the mortuary.

The state police public relations officer, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, who confirmed the incident, said the command had begun an investigation into the matter.

She said, “Investigation has commenced into the matter.”
