Topic: CLOSING DOWN THE MINISTRY OF SORCERERS (2)
Text: 1 Kings 13:1–5.
Minister: Dr. Daniel Olukoya (G.O. MFM Worldwide)
Last week, we began a series, and we looked at several scriptures showing you how the men of God that we are reading about today went about shutting down sorcerers.
Paul shut them down, and Peter shut them down. The sorcerers were disgraced, and the power of God was glorified. We defined that day what sorcery is, which is basically the use of black magic and black art to achieve things, and we began to look at how to dismantle them.
I prayed this prayer for you last week, and I want to pray it here again with 21 volcanic Amen:
===> I decree that any tongue issuing incantations against you, their tongues shall glue to their mouths, in the name of Jesus.
BUT WHY DO MEN BECOME SORCERERS? WHY DO MEN PRACTICE SORCERY?
1. To have dominion over other men.
2. To overcome their enemies.
3. To get wealth. They know that money is not easy to find, so they go into the demonic world to acquire wealth.
4. To capture virtues from others. Men without virtues and glory steal from men with virtues and glory. This is a very dangerous reason.
That is why I am decreeing right now as a prophet of the most high God that:
===> Any glory or virtue that has been stolen, recover it now! In the name of Jesus.
5. To steal what belongs to others. They steal money, husbands, wives, etc. from people.
6. To see into the future. They want to know what will happen in the future, so they use sorcery, divination, and enchantments to find out.
7. To fulfil ancestral evil covenants. Maybe his grandfather was a sorcerer, and his father was also a sorcerer.
So, it is necessary for him to become a sorcerer. Unless there is divine intervention, he will fulfil ancestral covenants.
8. To seek worldly success and progress.
9. To kill and to destroy
10. To acquire supernatural powers.
The reason we are teaching this kind of thing is for you to:
- scatter by fire, every satanic ritual working against you.
- break every evil pot set on fire against you. The Bible calls it cauldron.
- nullify all the power of evil magic, incense, and candles used against you.
- enable you to break and destroy all demonic altars and yokes.
- destroy every evil remote-controlling power working against you.
- learn how to speak destruction to occultic powers.
- dismiss and destroy their altars and priests.
- destroy any image carved against you.
- break every evil altar assigned against you.
In 1 Kings 13, a prophet was sent to go and shut down the ministry of sorcerers in Israel. This prophet went on this assignment, got to the arena where the president of the nation was there, all the priests were there, and did not talk to any of those VIPs there. He knew that they were powerless on their own, so he addressed the base of their powers.
1 Kings 13:1 (KJV); "And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the LORD unto Beth-el: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense."
A lot of modern-day men do not understand the power of altars. If you begin to study your Bible, you will find that all those altar builders, like Noah and Abraham, were very close to the Almighty. An altar is a very powerful item.
1 Kings 13:2 (KJV): "And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee."
The man of God spoke to that altar. That means the altar can hear. What kind of thing is this? The high priests were by the altar; the king was also by that altar, and yet he came there and addressed the altar. Technically, what he was saying to them is that "All of you here, very soon, your bones will be burnt on this altar".
1 Kings 13:3-5 (KJV): "And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the LORD hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out. And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Beth-el, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him. The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the LORD."
Like I said last week, the reason the ministry of sorcerers is everywhere and they are doing all kinds of things is the fault of the Christians. We are not strong enough to shut them down. We lack the power to shut them down.
It is sad but true that many Christians are deficits to heaven. Some are an embarrassment to salvation. Some are a disgrace to holiness. Some believers make God a liar. They push away their warrior angels, and they bring great sadness to heaven by the way they run their lives. Some believers actually put their ascending and descending angels in disarray. They are too lazy to pray or to carry out spiritual exercise.
===> I am praying for somebody here today: The power that the enemy cannot mock, that the enemy cannot disgrace, will come upon you! In the name of Jesus.
The blunt truth is this beloveth: in this world of wickedness, you need terrifying anointing; you need positive insanity.
The Bible says that the spiritual man is mad. You need to pray like a mad prophet. In this horrible and crazy world, it is abnormal to be normal. In this mad world, it is abnormal to be spiritually sane. If you are taking your Christianity as a casual affair, with what is going on, you will soon become a casualty.
What I am trying to explain to you is this: to make an impact in the spiritual realm, some level of insanity is needed.
The Bible says "The violent taketh it by force". It also says "The spiritual man is mad". Let me tell you the truth: sometimes you cannot pray a normal prayer and get a job. You cannot be normal to receive that promotion, obtain that wealth, get that visa, and get that baby.
===> I am praying for somebody here today that the violence that will make you possess your possession; heaven will bombard you with it! In the name of Jesus.
SO HOW DO YOU CLOSE DOWN THIS MINISTRY OF SORCERERS?
1. You do what that prophet did. He cried against their power base. He went straight to that altar; he did not look at anybody's face in that place. He just went and spoke to it: "Altar, altar, hear the Word of the Lord; this is what is going to happen to you". And therefore, as many people as are here tonight, raise up your right hand with a voice of authority, with faith in your heart, and shout with the loudest voice you can gather:
PRAY: Altar, altar, working against me, hear the Word of the Lord: catch fire! In the name of Jesus.
PRAY: Power base of my enemies, what are you waiting for? Die! In the name of Jesus.
So the first thing to do is cry against their power base. If you cry against their power base, it will not be able to sustain their length, and this is a very serious situation.
I want to share a short testimony that will lead us into some prayers before we go on. A brother listened to a message like this many years ago, and he was working in a place where the workers were dangerous people.
It was like most of the people working there were native doctors, although they were graduates. So somebody resigned. Then the person to be moved to that position was moved there, and the person died in one week. The next person to be moved was moved there. That one also died within one week. Our brother was number 5 in line. Now instead of them to move number 4, they took our brother, who was number 5, and promoted him.
The number 4 man was very angry, and immediately our brother was promoted, he went boldly to his office and confronted him, saying, "You are occupying the office I should occupy. Who do you think was killing all those people ahead of me? I am going to deal with you the way I dealt with those who have died. I give you 7 days. You too are going". Our brother was initially scared, but he attended a meeting like this where I was sharing the story of a sister who followed her friend to a prophet.
She was not the one who needed to see the prophet; she just followed her friend. The prophet left the person who came to see him and turned to her and said "Well, you are going to die soon", and she was scared. She ran back to come and tell me. I said, "Go back to that prophet. Tell him that you have come back to him and that it is him that will die, not you." She said "Ah, I cannot say it". I said, "You have to go back and reverse it." She went back and said, "Sir, you told me in the presence of my friend that I will die, but it is you that will die."
So the brother heard me sharing this story, and the second day, he went to the office of the man and said, "I will not die; I am still alive." He was afraid to say, "It is you that will die." Day 3, he went to the office of the man and said, "Excuse me, sir, I am still alive." Day 4, same thing. Day 5, same thing. On Day 6, he went and said the same thing. The man said, "There is still one day. Wait and see."
So when the brother heard that one, he did not sleep that night. He started vigil prayers. All of a sudden, God opened his eyes. He found himself inside a garden surrounded by a fence.
Outside that fence was a tall black creature, and this man in his place of work was standing beside that creature. Beloveth, do not deceive yourself and say that there are no human beings who make covenants with the devil to cage and destroy.
So this man was telling the creature "That is the man I want you to kill". The strongman said, "Which of them? Because there are plenty of people in that garden."
The man pointed to our brother and said "That one". The creature turned to the strongman and said, "I know that our covenant is for us to kill whoever you want to kill, but we cannot kill this one. These are children of the most high." The man said, "But that is our covenant. How can you refuse to kill him?" The strongman got angry with the man.
===> May your enemies destroy themselves! In the name of Jesus.
The strongman said, "I have told you, but if you insist that I should go and kill him, if I do not succeed, I will come and kill you to replace him" and the vision cleared.
By the next morning, the man was dead. You are going to pray now.
PRAY: Powers reporting me to the spirit of death, you are liars; die! In the name of Jesus.
Point 1: Cry against their power base. If it is the altar they are using, cry against it like that prophet did.
2. Sack their priests because all altars have priests that work there. This is a very serious matter.
===> I am praying that any priest of the devil ministering against you shall die violently! In the name of Jesus.
3. Take radius authority. When you decree "I take authority 200 miles radius from here that so so and so must not happen", the angels will keep that radius. You draw the line of the blood of Jesus around you. You can do it in your school or in your house. You take authority over that radius that there must not be any satanic malpractice in that area.
Can you close your eyes and raise your right hand to the heavenlies? Shout: I draw the circle of the blood of Jesus, around my house! In the name of Jesus.
4. You spoil and waste their sacrifices. You do not have to touch any sacrifices or even move close. You can spoil it wherever you are. You can spoil and waste the sacrifices because what keeps altars running are sacrifices. All the sacrifices you see people put at streets and road junctions are foods sacrificed to demons to help them. But if you stand in your sitting room and point at the sacrifice and say "I command you to become poison", any demon that eats part of it is in trouble.
Last week, we had an unfortunate case here, all the way from Benin City. This small boy from a rich home was not hungry, but he saw a sacrifice on the road, sat down, and began to eat that thing. From that day on, his life never remained the same, and they had to bring him all the way to this place for deliverance. I want to pray this prayer, which needs 21-fold Amen:
===> Any sacrifice offered to waste you shall waste the owners! in the name of Jesus.
Finally, you fight with fire. When a situation is stubborn in the spirit realm, fire is the answer. The Bible says "Our God is a consuming fire". Our God is the God who answereth by fire. Elijah brought down fire. That is why the Bible talks about the baptism of fire. Fire burns.
Fire is powerful in movement. Fire has penetrating power. Fire is mysterious in action. Fire is aggressive and militant. Fire is focused. Fire is hot. Fire does not compromise. If it enters a forest, it will not discriminate between the elephant and the ant.
Fire is very confrontational, and it has dominion power. It has no respect for the forces of gravitation. It goes up and down. Fire can melt, dry up, and fasten together, and it disobeys the law of matter. Fire is intense. It has the power to destroy, demolish, and take life. So fire is the answer to stubborn situations and problems.
There are many weapons in God's armoury:
- The name of Jesus is a weapon.
- The blood of Jesus is a weapon.
- Angels of the living God are a weapon.
- Thunder and brimstone are weapons.
- The word of God is a weapon.
- Fire, too is a weapon.
That is why the Bible says "The Lord our God is a consuming fire". Very soon, prayers to shut down all the diviners, sorcerers, and enchanters working against anyone's life will start.
PRAYER POINTS
(Pray: Any sin that will prevent me from destroying negative altars, O Lord, forgive me.)
1. Powers of witch doctors working against my life, die! In the name of Jesus.
2. Powers attacking me harder as I pray harder, die! In the name of Jesus.
3. Powers bewitching my name for evil; you are liars; die! In the name of Jesus.
4. Arrows from the tongues of wicked elders, scatter by fire! In the name of Jesus.
5. Mouth of darkness sucking my financial life, catch fire! In the name of Jesus.
6. Anything in my life, feeding problems, die! In the name of Jesus.
7. Sacrifices offered to feed demons for my sake, lose your power, die! In the name of Jesus.
